  Pearce Patent Lamp LSide.jpg - PEARCE PATENT LAMP - Rare brass lamp with a beautiful patina, 2 7/8 in. high to top of domed lid, 1 5/8 in. base dia., 4 in. long spout with unique reinforcement sleeve on spout tip, exquisite lamp construction details, marked on lid PAT. MAY 30.82, this lamp was patented by Henry F. Pearce of Hyde Park, PA as patent No. 258,802, filed April 6, 1882 and awarded May 30, 1882; the primary claim of the patent had to do with the domed lid which was designed to contain any fuel without leaking, NOS condition
